Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil…

1 Corinthians 15:54-55“When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: ‘Death has been swallowed up in victory.’

Listened to some good stuff from Robert Morris, and wanted to share. First and foremost, whether we like to admit it or not, the number one fear humans have is death. He had some good examples where people say things like “that’s not true, I am afraid of snakes”…no, you are afraid of snakes because if a snake bites you, you might die…”thats not true, I am afraid of heights”…no, you are afraid of heights because if you fall from there, you might die. Either way, humans fear the after life.

But, as Christians, we are not to fear the after life. In fact, the bible is very clear on our eventual outcome, and that is eternity with the Father. The reason? Because, a savior was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, bore our sins on the cross taking our punishment, died on the cross for us, and rose again defeating death.

This should be what Christmas is all about!! We need to be thankful that the Lord sent His only begotten Son!

with love,
